You can win a pair of tickets (including dinner) to New York cabaret artist Marissa Mulder’s one-time performance at Roger Rocka’s Dinner Theater (5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20). Her new show is titled “I’ll Follow The Sun: The John Lennon and Paul McCartney Songbooks.” You can read more about Mulder, who has been lauded by the New York Times and played at all of New York’s top cabaret venues, in my interview with her.
The contest is open only to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. (Paid memberships help keep the site running, and paid members get special members-only benefits. Please consider a paid membership in support of independent, local arts journalism.) A free membership option is available. For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway.
To enter this giveaway, leave a reply on this post (see below) answering this question: If you could ask Marissa Mulder to sing any Beatles song for you, what would it be? (Or you can just say why you’d like to attend.) Deadline to enter is 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20. The winner will be picked at random and notified by email.
The Munro Review has no paywall but is financially supported by readers who believe in its non-profit mission of bringing professional arts journalism to the central San Joaquin Valley. You can help by signing up for a monthly recurring paid membership or make a one-time donation of as little as $3. All memberships and donations are tax-deductible.

I LOVE cabaret and attend whenever I am able to do so. Long and Winding Road is one of many “favorites”.

The Long and Winding Road. I’d love to hear anything, really, but that’s a special favorite — it moves me and at the same time impresses me with its well-craftedness.

The song would be Honey, don’t. I’d like to go because my daughter is a HUGE fan.

Something is my favorite Beatles song, so I would want that. But I love any song on Rubber Soul. But I would just love to go and besides, it is my birthday.
