Win tickets to ‘The King and I’
You can win two tickets to opening night of the national tour of “The King and I” (7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, Saroyan Theatre). And there’s more! The winner also will receive dinner for two at the wonderful Cosmopolitan Tavern & Grill, conveniently located adjacent to the convention center — and free parking for the evening. (Thanks, Cosmo and Broadway in Fresno, for the prizes.)
This acclaimed revival of “The King and I,” which opened on Broadway in 2015, was praised by critics as a fresh and meaningful update of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic.
The contest is open only to members, donors and individual sponsors of The Munro Review. Tax-deductible memberships start at $5 a month, and you can make a one-time donation of as little as $3. (Paid memberships help keep the site running, and paid members get special members-only benefits. Please consider a paid membership in support of independent, local arts journalism.) A free membership option is available. For details on how to join, go to the Membership and Sponsorship page. No purchase, donation or membership is necessary to enter the ticket giveaway.
To enter this giveaway, leave a reply on this post (see below) answering this question: Have you seen “The King and I,” and, if so, what was your favorite production? (Or you can just tell us why you want to go to the show.) Deadline to enter is noon Saturday, Jan. 12. The winner will be picked at random and notified by email.
