t’s easy to find six reasons why the musical “SIX,” which opens April 1 and runs through April 6 at Fresno’s Saroyan Theatre, is the biggest local theater event of the year. Quick countdown:
6. Catherine of Aragon.
5. Anne Boleyn.
4. Jane Seymour.
3. Anna of Cleves.
2. Katherine Howard.
1. Catherine Parr.
Henry VIII’s six wives take center stage at Broadway’s hit musical — so much so that the all-powerful monarch doesn’t even get a cameo. By transforming history’s most famous Tudor wives into pop stars, the night becomes a rousing anthem to women’s empowerment.
“SIX” is still packing crowds in on Broadway, which is a seventh (and bonus) reason why It’s Fresno’s big theater event of the year.
To celebrate, we’re giving away two pairs of tickets to lucky members of The Munro Review.
The tickets are for the Thursday, April 3 performance.
(A special thanks to Broadway in Fresno for making these giveaways possible.)
