ay Lang has four pieces in the exhibition “Remaking Boundaries,” which closes Sunday, June 25, at the Fresno Art Museum. My student Sarah Delgado spent a lot time researching and writing a piece about Lang, who recently moved back to San Joaquin Gardens in Fresno after an internationally recognized career in the Bay Area. The examples in this show are just a sliver of Lang’s overall body of work, however. Delgado, who as lifestyle editor of The Fresno State Collegian oversees arts and entertainment coverage, writes a fascinating profile. She and I spent a lot of time figuring out how to structure this piece while capturing a hint of Lang’s wry, pointed personality, and I’m very happy with the way it turned out.
I hope you’ll have a chance to read it.
