ll local theater eyes are on the Selma Arts Center and its new, highly anticipated production of “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.” You can win a pair of tickets to opening weekend. The production runs Feb. 15-25.
The play was a monster hit on Broadway in 2015, winning five Tony awards, including Best Play. Adapted from the popular book by Mark Haddon, the play tells the story of 15-year-old Christopher Boone, “a 15-year-old with an extraordinary brain who is exceptional at mathematics but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life.” Part detective story and part intensive tour of an amazing and troubled mind, the story is highly theatrical. The production is directed by Selma Arts Center guest director Ruth Griffin, a Fresno State theater director known for her innovative incorporation of movement and classical drama to brighten her shows.
